My progress to date on the swans. Needle felting is a slow process. I have to say though, I really enjoy sitting on the couch, poking a needle in and out, and just thinking. Thinking. Thinking in my quiet house. Thinking about what I'm doing, about how I will crochet the wings, or collage the body, how the wool feels in my hands. And admittedly I think about what the next project might be, or about how I want to paint the pantry. The whole process is just so soothing.
Of course, I don't just sit and meditate. I put on Eat, Pray, Love this afternoon. I could sit and watch Javier Bardem all day, just playing the last third of the movie over and over and over..... And I didn't even poke myself with the needle once!
Back to work for me. I have lots of needle poking yet to do. I aim to have wings and a tail or two to show you on Wednesday!
TTFN!
That creamy color is so yummy!
ReplyDeleteGood excuse to watch movies ... and your project is looking good so far. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to do that and watch a movie at the same time. Or even listen to music. I pretty much work in total silence.
ReplyDeleteExcept maybe for plain old knitting back and forth.
Love the swans in front of the swans photo concept! Cool!
Our daughter Hannah, who started teaching at a boarding school this fall, got herself a very handsome grey tabby cat and named him JAVIER for exactly that reason!
ReplyDeleteAnd your swans are very beautiful and graceful.
It's fun watching your progress.
Love theraputic art like this, and I think I need to watch that movie!
ReplyDeleteWatching the last part of the movie with Javier was my favorite part too :)))
ReplyDeleteThanks for the little sneak peek of the swans, I can't wait to see the next step.
