I'm sitting here in a dark room, watching it snow yet again. I'm starting to worry about the weight of all that snow on the roof. The neighbors have four foot icicles hanging off their eaves. I'm trying to remember that blue sky and sun that we had on Monday. It was beautiful, the first I've seen in weeks. We had been smothered with an choking, sun blocking inversion until the storm that came through early Monday, or maybe it was Sunday; who knows. They say it may come back this weekend:(
I think my defense mechanism has been to nest. I know it's only spring fever (three months too early), but I've been so busy cleaning and rearranging, that if I wasn't so old, I would worry that I was pregnant. In addition to puttering around the house, I've also become obsessed with candy making. I don't think you're supposed to do that when it's snowing. I'll report more on that later, when I see the final results.
In between cleaning and stirring sugar, I've been crocheting hearts galore.....
and dreaming about what I'll do with these springy, swoon inducing colors.
I think I'll go iron a table cloth. See you Friday!
You are so funny- what a time for candy! Sounds like it could sure warm up the kitchen, though!
