My darling husband is very sweet. He buys me toys, fun things to play with. Amazon kind of gave away the surprise. Did you know they did that? If you get something off another's wish list, if they try to buy that thing for themselves a message pops up that says, "are you sure about this??? wink wink nod nod." I was still surprised. I was expecting a package of four small moldable foam stamps and instead it was a big box full of them!
And did I have fun or what? Why yes, I did have fun:) With these pieces of foam, you can make stamps out of all kinds of things. You just warm it up with a heat gun, and then press the foam onto your subject matter.
The cool part is, you can reheat the foam and the impression goes away; you can make a new stamps. I like this design from the top of a poppy pod.
Some things worked better than others.
Some worked better than I imagined they would.
I was making stamps out of everything.
I tried them out using both an ink pad and acrylic paint. I rolled the paint out on a piece of glass with a brayer. I tried pressing the stamp directly in the paint and also rolling the brayer over the stamp. I think the brayer gave better coverage.
Then I stamped in my sketch book and took notes.
I'll be playing with these some more very soon.
Right now I have to go crochet more hearts.
See you Wednesday!
Ooh, that is fun! They must be pretty soft once you heat them up- I don't see any fingerprints! Love the pink picture with the hearts- just so snug and yummy :)
