Just Because...

I know it's Thursday and I don't usually post on Thursday, but look what I found in my garden today!  These weren't there yesterday!

My iris that I transplanted when I moved in two years ago didn't bloom last summer, so I forgot what all I had.  Now it's like Christmas out there!  I believe that these are descended from some iris that my Lalie gave to me years ago in Colorado.  When I moved to Utah, I brought some of the rhizomes with me.  They smell really good too!

    Ooh...pretty! Love those little surprises in the garden :) Squirrels give us surprises sometimes...stinkers dig up my daffy bulbs, and plant them! (Once I found a walnut tree growing in my flower bed, from a buried nut :)

    That one is so beautiful. I transplanted a bunch of iris last summer from my friend Amy's garden (iris that she got from me at hearthfire) hoping I have some of those in there. If not I'm sure there are some at the office at Midori. It is so much fun to see how flowers make the rounds :).

    I LOVE iris with all the variety of colors!

    I need to get out into my Mom's garden and take some photos before everything is done blooming......
