I found a sweet treat on Etsy the other day. You know I'm a sucker for vintage crochet. I found these at Cat Tales, a pretty little vintage shop. Quite the bargain at only $8 for the lot. They range in date from the 1930s through 1950s.
Just looking at the illustrations is as much fun as working the patterns. I think we all need skirts like this. Don't you?
The photographs are great too. I like to make up captions for the expressive poses. "Oh that's where I left my underwear!"
"He's giving me such a headache, but I'll never let on."
The butterfly shade pulls are sweet.
And I really love the pot holder patterns. I want to make a bunch in bright colors.
Check out Cat Tales shop for fun finds and great deals. While you're over there, peep in at my new shop windows and tell me what you think of the re-do. I split the shop in two. Now I have the BobbiLewin store for my crochet, etc. I changed out all of the photos with new and improved shots, and put the new banner in. Then I opened BobbisMixedMediaArt for, well.... my mixed media;)
I hope you are having a happy Monday! I'll see you Wednesday, hopefully with some great shots of the Spiral Jetty!
Haha...you and that "Catalogue Living" blog :) Happy Memorial Day!
