Wednesday's Photo

Blessing Tree
I must confess that I was perplexed when I saw the prompt for this week’s photo, “give thanks”. I have many, many things that I am thankful for, but how to express the magnitude of that in a single picture? As I pondered this, I thought, "I am thankful for my many blessings". OK, still??? Then this tree popped into my head (albeit, the tree in my head had a lot more leaves!) Now you’re probably thinking, “what does a tree have to do with giving thanks?” and, “oohhh! You’re really stretching it this week crazy woman!” Well, follow me here; trees have roots that run very deep; my blessings are rooted deeply in the love of my family, friends, and especially my husband, and those are the things I am most thankful for. So I grabbed the camera and headed out to the tree. It really didn’t have as many beautiful copper leaves as it did last time I looked at it!

Blessing Cat
Rose followed me out to help, and then I thought of how she shows her gratitude when I feed her. True, she’s really bitchy and demanding when she wants her food, but once she’s eaten, she follows me out to the living room, so full of purrs and wanting to sit on me. Well, ok, she’s really demanding about that part too, making me sit on the couch even if I don’t want to, but I like to think she’s really grateful for that yummy pate I just fed her! And I’m grateful for her attention too:)

What are you thankful for this holiday season?☺
