The inspirational prompt this week over at life through the lens is "indulgence". I suppose I have a lot of little indulgences, but when I feel a need to do something for me, and take my mind away for awhile, I go thrifting! For just a handful of dollars you can find the prettiest things. Here is a picture of a recent find. I love these little dessert cups; they are perfect for ice cream, or a little bit of fruit, and they look so pretty on my shelf!
I have to run DH over to the doctor to get his cast changed, so check back this afternoon for el parte dos of my thrifty finds. I have a fun project to share and a thrifty find that is so perfectly kitschy I can't get enough of it!
These are adorable and I will be back later for part 2...can't wait to see what kitschy fun you found! Funny that thrifting is also and indulgence of mine and I love the little treasures that I have found. My favorites are: vintage sewing notions, milk glass vases, blue ball jars, and vintage globes & typewriters. Now I am on the hunt for vintage cameras!
ReplyDeleteI love finding neat things at thrift stores as well. I love finding old suitcases, furniture and whatever else makes me excited at the moment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun indulgence.
I am jealous of your upcoming photography classes, have fun...wish I was going!
Beautiful little dishes and I love the pic, too.
