More Mail Art Fun

Apparently, I'm still avoiding finishing my Joker Crow painting.  It's not for a lack of interest; I'm just distracted with other projects and just plain old distractions like this link from another crow lover.

I've been having so much fun with the snail mail.  Here are some things that went out recently, and I'm hoping have arrived at their destinations so I'm not spoiling any surprises.  I love to make things with pockets and hidden secrets.  It's always so tough to decide how much extra stuff to put on the outside of the envelope.  To me, mail art is 90% the envelope, but at the same time we want our creations to arrive intact.  I did a collaged postcard recently - that I forgot to take a picture of! - it was going to Japan and I was worried about it traveling such a distance and going through lots of machines.  Many folks choose to put their handmade postcards inside an envelope, but I decided to risk it.  I'm told it arrived intact!

Have I told you how much I like Hallowe'en?  (only over and over again, huh?)

I made some envelopes.  Remember the leaves I made a couple weeks ago?  I've been using them in a lot of mail art.

More Hallowe'en goodness! snicker:)

And some ATCs.  I find these so satisfying to make.  I use playing cards that I rough up with sandpaper, then collage and paint.  Should I do a tutorial on these?  That might be fun:)  What I like about it is if I need a creative fix but don't have a lot of time, I can pop one of these out really quick.

I have another project I'm working on that I can't talk about yet and it's driving me crazy because I am so excited about it and I want to tell everyone!  It's going to be big and involve several artists, but I have to take care of some technicalities before I can talk about it or really get it started.  So it is in the preliminary stages.  Think positive thoughts for me on this!

Happy Monday all!
