Sometimes I forget that I live in such an amazing place. This is our hike to Donut Falls yesterday; it's up Big Cottonwood Canyon, only about 30 minutes from my driveway.
It was good medicine for my stressed out brain. I love the boosts of serotonin that come from being in nature. Much better for me than a bag of potato chips.
Running water is one of my very favorite things in this world. To be near it, to hear the sound, whether it's slow moving water or rushing, and to dip my fingers and toes in the cold freshness of it is healing. I give all my worries to the river and she carries them away.
I could sit here all day.
