Things just keep getting better and better! (read with dripping sarcasm). DH is home sick. The doctor thinks he probably just has bronchitis, but it could be swine flu, in which case he'll be home for daaaayyyyyysss. I'm not as cold and heartless as I sound; I do feel bad that he's sick and I want him well, not just so he'll go back to work, but because I want him to be happy and healthy. I'm just used to being home alone, and he keeps, um....needing me. And talking to me. And because he's kind of out of it, he doesn't always make a whole lot of sense. (Hi honey! I love you! Do you need a cup of tea?)
On top of that, a friend(?) is pissed at me because I'm not living up to his expectations. Nevermind that I actually do have a life and responsibilities outside of him and the garden and some extreme camping event that is NOT what I signed up for. Oh, and apparently he has de-friended me so we aren't friends anymore.
And what else, you ask?? Well let me tell you. Late last night I got into my yarn stash and discovered it consumed by wool moths. I've been finding large holes in wool sweaters and wraps; now I know for sure what caused them. When the moths get into your yarn, it's like someone has taken a pair of scissors, stuck them down into the ball of yarn and snipped away. Plus there's a lot of icky casings and moth poo. It makes me itch just thinking of it. So I went journeying across the internet for answers. Some people say freeze the yarn, some say heat it. I'm going with the heating. There is more room in my oven than my freezer today. I sorted through and found the salvagable bits. I've been baking yarn all day. When it's done, I'll seal everything in plastic freezer bags, with no air, and some lavender added.
You just might say that everything is bugging me these days. OK, I'll shut up now.
