Installing the Show

It seems rather petty to be blogging while Boston is in such turmoil.  It distracts me though.  When tragedies like this happen, I glue myself to the television, watching the video over and over, unable to pull away.  My heart feels so sad for our world.  I wish we could heal.

This is where I was this morning, helping to hang the Utah Surface Design Group show.  This was such an interesting experience, gathering all of the pieces together and in effect creating another work of art which is the exhibit itself.

I really like the way this wall turned out.

There are so many incredible pieces.  I believe there were 70 in all.

I wish I had gotten a better pic of my own!  I'll try again Friday night at the opening, or later maybe.

I guess I'll go find something else to distract me now.  I hope that you are safe where ever you are and that all of your loved ones are safe.

  2. What a beautifully filled space. I wish I could touch those pieces (which would be a no-no) but there is so much texture there. Is that a giant rag ball on the floor? how cool
