I wanted to share some accomplishments with you. Earlier this fall, I set out to make myself finish up a bunch of knitting projects. I am happy to announce that I completed three major knitting projects since September.
One of course was the Ten Year Scarf. This is a scarf that I had been working on for at least the last ten years. I would pull it out to work on every autumn because the color called to me. It is knit of fine silk yarn on size 2 needles. I would knit a couple inches then get distracted and put it down for another year. I finally finished and got to wear it this fall. I love this scarf. It is so soft and it drapes beautifully.
This is my first lace shawl. This took about two months to finish. I am pleased as punch:)
This was a feat; it took lots of concentration! The pattern confused me at first, but I found lots of good instructions on Ravelry. I love Ravelry:)
This is my latest. It is a moebius wrap, in a pattern from Cat Bordhi's "A Treasury of Magical Knitting". This was so fun to knit and to watch the moebius form.
I love wearing it too, and will need to make more, as I'm tempted to wear this every single day. It is perfect for my constant cycling back and forth between hot flash and winter chills. I can wear it over my shoulders or around my neck like a scarf.
Have you finished any projects that you are feeling proud of? I'd love if you shared!
Woah, those are neat!! Me...I just cleared all my "to-do" papers off my computer desk. Woot ;)
ReplyDeleteHooray for clean workspaces!
ReplyDeleteDreary tidying up the house projects, yes. Creative, joyful projects, no.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
I really must re-prioritize things around here.
LOVE your knitting projects. Well done, Bobbi.
