As I was flipping through an old issue of British Country Living the other day, I found a "country cure" for a rosemary hair rinse. It is supposed to be good for an itchy scalp and to give you shiny hair. I thought I'd give it a try, and it was wonderful. The main benefit I found was that it made my hair amazingly soft. I couldn't stop touching it, really.
All you do is bring some water to a boil, then pour the water over a couple sprigs of fresh rosemary. Let it steep and cool, then strain it. After you wash and rinse your hair, pour the rosemary infusion over your hair, working it in to get all over your scalp and all of your hair. Then let your hair dry. It smells good too!

Oh how fun! I tried apple cider vinegar and baking soda once...I couldn't manage to dump it on my head. I pretty much missed :) Plus, I smelled like a salad bar!
