Great Fun with Yarn

yarn bombing utah arts fest
The yarn bombers have descended on Salt Lake!  The Utah Arts Festival is this week, and the UAF, along with Art Access organized a knit-in and yarn bombing event (they allow crocheters too!)

mini reef utah arts fest
And the Lake Bonneville Crochet Reef got in on the act.  This is our mini reef, kind of a teaser for the big installation in October.  We constructed the reef on the assumption that it was going to be vertical.  But you have to be flexible, right?  It's all good.  We are hoping to grab a lot more interest and recruit more people to crochet.  They tell me 80,000 people go through the arts fest, so I'm hoping to get some email!  Pop over here to see what else the LBCR project has been up to.

I've suddenly been overcome with a raging desire to crochet a California Gull.  And an American White Pelican.  Hmm. I need some white yarn.

What are you doing this fine Wednesday?
