Would it be ok if I just cried on your shoulder for a little bit? I promise not to snot. I know I'm just being a whiner, but it's been a long day that started out really early with a routine trip to the doctor for lab work. I got there at 7:30, like the doc said, but nobody was there! I waited; people showed up, but not the person with the key. So we stood in the hall, and I do have to say they kept me laughing. So that was good.
Then I raced home....no that's not right. I tried to race home, but there was a wreck on the freeway. I inched along, nervously watching the gas gauge with the bright light and loud bong bong that means the tank is empty. Made it home, gathered up all of the crochet coral pieces I've made and collected from others, printed out fliers and information, called to find out if the Earth Day event I was supposed to be tabling at was going to be inside or outside. Outside. Even though the weather report clearly stated that it was going to rain all day, they decided to hold it outside and hope it would clear up. Okey dokey then.
I went. It started raining as soon as I got the table set up. I sat there in the rain, smelling my wool get wet. Yum. I did get some people signed up to participate, so that part was good. I finally said, "this is crap" and came home.
Now really, when I put everything into perspective, life is good. I sold a painting yesterday! My Joker Crow. Here he is, ready to ship out to other, warmer locals.
I finished my fan pull order. It was fun working with all of these different colors. I just am mesmerized by color. With each one, I thought, "oh! this is my favorite!"
My absolute favorite is this one. I just love the look of the sort of periwinkle blue beads on the leaf green chain. I am going to be using this color combo again very soon!
Thank you for letting me whine a bit. Oh! I forgot to tell you! We have tickets to David Sedaris tonight, so that is going to totally make up for needles in my arm and rain on my head!
Now I am racing, off to the post office to mail these guys!
Happy Wednesday!

You're an artist!! I love how you package things :). Hope your wool wasn't damaged!
