It's Thursday and I've made a decision....

borage2
I've been trying for quite awhile now to figure out how to fit everything I want and need to do into one day.  I've tried doing things fast.  That doesn't work; in fact whatever I'm doing usually ends up taking about two hours longer than I imagined it would.

I've tried having fewer interests.  THAT really didn't work!  There are just so many cool things to do and to learn and to try!

I have realized that the things I do choose to do, I want to do them well, to the very best of my ability.   Which means that I do have to pare down a little here and there.  As much as I enjoy blogging every day, I think I need to reduce it by one day.  I've picked Thursdays.  That will give me more time to paint and cook and sew and garden and take pictures and crochet and knit and embroider.  Whew!  I've just worn myself out typing that!  By having more time to do those things well, I will in turn be a better blogger because I'll have more interesting and pretty things to share with you.

That said, I will be back tomorrow with a new Friday's Herbal post.  This week is all about one of my favorites, Calendula.  See you then!

  1. I think it's great to focus on those things you enjoy the most...maybe consolidate into one blog post so it doesn't create a strain on you... go for it :)

  2. Yes, by all means, take a day off to accomplish something for yourself. By doing this you will find you have even more creative juice to give to all the other aspects of your life.

I, too, have been finding myself challenged to do all that I want to do ... part of it, for me, is my continuing moodiness but the other part is that I care about others and want to share my life experiences like you do.

See how this experiment in time management works out. And come back and share the results with us, your eager appreciative audience.

Ta ta! and 'Seize the Day!' and all that ...

  3. i have no internet at our house in vermont. i have to drive down to town to use wi-fi. sometimes i miss it, but mostly, being unplugged has been wonderful!

it's good to remember that we can walk away from it and the world will not end.
