Can you picnic?

With everything that was going on last week, I didn't get to tell you about the fancy picnic we went on.

Our friend was having a birthday, and she has been having the same longing as I have for an elegant picnic, so she planned one.  Even the guys cooperated.

To me, the words summer and picnic belong together.  Picnics have always been one of my favorite things in this world, and the fancier the better.  Don't you love that retro drink cooler up there?

This picnic was perfect, with sunshine, a green lawn, and good friends....

Cake and presents.  I made the "never fail to please" chocolate stout cake.  If you want people groveling at your feet and singing your praises, make this cake!

And what could say summer better than bare feet being tickled by the grass?
