A Gift - Handy Conversion Card

In propitiation for not showing up yesterday, I have made you a present.  I know that when I'm cooking, I often can't remember just how much a cup of sugar is supposed to weigh, or how many pints are in a quart.  I hate having to stop everything to go look it up, so I like to have a handy dandy little card, um -  handy.  I had every intention of printing this out myself and even laminating it and tying a ribbon on.  But my printer won't work and I can't find the laminator.  So here it is.  Just pull it off to your computer.  You can print it out on two pieces of paper, put them back to back and laminate (if you can find the laminator), or you can print it both sides on a piece of card stock if you wanted.  Just some ideas.

So my excuse for not blogging yesterday was that my mother in law came over to help me do some genealogy research.  There is a good reason I usually don't do that:  I get lost in it and don't come up for air for hours, and then I don't do other things I'm supposed to be doing.  I did find out that I have a 6X great grandmother named Unk Unk.  Yeah.  I didn't even know there were cave people living in Germany during the 1700's.

Have a good evening and I'll come back tomorrow to with Friday's Herbal - Lemon Balm.  I love lemon balm.  I think I'll go outside and smell it right now.

  2. 1) This conversion card is AWESOME. I've been staring longingly at my scale when I bake lately.

    2) Unk Unk is a fantastic name. I think I'll name my next child that. :D

    3) I dug up all my lemon balm and gave it away. But give me a reason to put more in my yard! :)

  3. My son started digging into my and my husband's family about 4 years ago, and he hasn't stopped yet. He's really busy now with his own life, but when he has time, he and a friend (whose also addicted) when they have a free day will either go to local libraries for records or cemeteries :)

Now alot of the family has gotten into it. It's very addictive, and very interesting of all the things you find.
