More Thrifted Goodness

During my week of being unplugged, I ventured south to Orem to their thrift stores.  I usually find lots of wonderful goodies down there, but this time pickings were slim.   I did find something I've been searching for forever it seems.

thrifted linens
I have this vision of my patio table set with pale blue linens and aqua glass Mason jars filled with flowers from the garden.  It's still a tad bit chilly to dine al fresco, and I only have a handful of daffodils, so I spread the tablecloths inside.  You can't tell anymore, but I really did iron them!  One of my favorite indulgences is ironing linens, spraying them with lavender water, and then folding them just so.  I am enchanted by the feel of the fabric, and the visual texture of it as well.

picnic china
I've always wanted to have a set of mismatched china just for picnics.  So I've begun my collection.  Laurie, who I mentioned yesterday, and I have been talking about having an old fashioned fancy dress picnic.  The guys just roll their eyes at us.  But we have every intention of making them do it.   Bwaa haa haaa!

orange pyrex
And what trip to the thrift store would be complete without another piece of vintage Pyrex?  I am in love with Pyrex.  Our sister-in-law sent over dinner on Sunday, with one item in a small green Pyrex dish.  I wonder if she'll notice if it's not in the pile of returned dishes?  I am starting to wonder where to store my collection.  My kitchen is tiny.

Have you discovered any exciting thrifty goodness lately?

  5. I LOVE your wall colors! They look so warm :)

I wonder if there's a way to hang pyrex on the wall temporarily? Is there something like a plate hanger for bowls? You've found such lovely pieces :)
