There are times when the art spirit flows through like some divine presence. It starts in the mind, travels through the body, and comes through the hands, manifesting itself as a feathery piece of your own soul, there on the canvas. And life is good. Days like this you can't stop looking at your own work, you love it so, like something you birthed. And you did.
This one is going in my shop today, even though I really like it right here on my wall. I'll do another. Or several more.
This labor is taking a bit longer, but not painful. I just keep seeing one more thing I want to tweak. It is going in that pretty blue frame and up on my wall. Sometimes you have to make art for you, because you can.
gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful,I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, as always :) I love seeing these cranes- I live near a lake, and we have a Blue Heron Flight Path over our house, these cranes remind me of those herons :) And YAY for artwork for you!

ReplyDeleteHello Bobbi,
ReplyDeleteI remember you saying in a past post that a criticism that you get is on the combination of your realism and abstract representation of the birds...I just have to say that I think there is a balance between them that you definitely succeed with on the top piece. I love it. It's delicate, yet real and the eyes speak to me even though it has a hazy unreal look about it all. I believe it lends a certain mystique to the entire picture. And to tell you the truth, animals puzzle me sometimes with their beauty and ease in self. Like old souls trying to speak to us without words...just like this painting. Stunning!
Lovely work!
