Books and Beledi

What a pleasant weekend we had!

library used book sale
We went to the library used book sale and I found almost everything on my list plus some, as you can see.  DH found some good stuff too.
Earth Jam 2010
Sunday we went to the Earth Jam 2010 festival.  My stepson drums for a belly dance troupe.  That's him up there.  The girls were trying to get him to belly dance with them.  He has a friend who performs alongside, accompanying the drumming with beat box rhythms.  People look at me askance when I tell them, but it really works with the Middle Eastern drum rhythms.  They are so much fun to watch perform.

From the positive comments on the herb posting I guess that means I'll continue.  Nobody said, "eww!  that sucks!" so this week's installment will be on sage - the culinary variety.  I should go photograph it today before the expected snow storm gets here.  It's not supposed to be here until Wednesday, but can you believe it?  It's almost May Day and we're still getting snow.  That's going to make for some cold May Day festivals 'round these parts.

OK, grocery shopping.  Ciao!

  4. Hi, Bobbi!
    I just found you, over at Bridget's Voila! page ... {grin ~ Love-Love-Love her stuff too!}

    Beat Box + Belly Dance?? I've never *seen* it done, but it sure *sounds* awesome, in my head! Cool!

    And yeah, snow in May isn't un-possible - not sure where you are, but Chicago's 'last frost day' is May 15, and when there may be frost, there may be snow!

    Happy May Day to you and yours, anyway ...

    and Bright Blessings ~
