My Want List

embroidered owl coasters
I'm going to follow Myrnie's lead and give you my "things I want to do list".  Maybe putting it out there to the Universe will cause some things to manifest.  It's worked for me before.

Here it is:

I want to:
  1. dig in the dirt, to start my veggie garden and plant some flowers and herbs.  I love to grow herbs!
  2. repair my relationship with my daughter.  I  just want her back.
  3. be able to read as fast and as much as p.quinn.  She does some great book reviews over on her blog.  I am amazed at how many stacks of books she goes through.   I tend to fall asleep after about 3 pages.  I remember when I was quite young and I thought it was funny when my mom did that!  What is it they say about payback???
  4. buy a new ironing board cover that actually stays on the board.  I wonder if I could make one.....
  5. learn how to just take each day as it comes to me and not stress over things so much.
  6. go to Paris.  I'm dreaming big here:)
  7. go paint a bunch of stuff with that can of aqua spray paint I picked up.  I have plans!
  8. paint my walls.  I can't decide what color to go with.  I'm leaning green.  I find it very amusing that for so many years I lived in places with white walls that I wasn't allowed to paint.  Now I can paint my walls any color I want and I find myself so drawn to all those white walled spaces you see on the design blogs.
  9. get serious about learning photography and photoshop, to really dive into it rather than just toying around.
  10. have a dinner party outside and set up a pretty table like any of these
And now I want to go work on some crochet and embroidery.  Maybe I can sit on the porch and do it:)

  5. A lovely, lovely list :) (If you figure out how to make an ironing cover, DO tell! :)

My new mantra is "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." I never EVER understood what that meant until recently- our days are full enough without worrying about tomorrow too :) At least that's what I tell myself it means ;o)
