Number 9 on my list of 48 things to do (well ok, 23 things to do; I'm still trying to figure out the rest) was to go on a picnic by a river with DH. Well, DH was at work, and I went with Fool-On-The-Hill.
We did the Alpine Loop in Utah County. I was needing an autumn color fix, seeing as how tomorrow WINTER IS COMING!!!!!
I really like how the lines of the tree branches intersect the green and red horizontal stripes. This one may be the basis for a painting. A really big one. Oils.
Color my world red.
Which bridge do you like better?
Ferns.
This fella almost got hit by a car. I stood frozen with my jaw on the ground as two horseback riders came out of the brush, one saying, "I hear cars", the rider on this horse saying, "yep, I hear lots of cars", as he continued out into the road. Meanwhile there was a car coming fast around the bend. Neither horse nor car was stopping. I was so sure I was about to witness something horrid. Thankfully, the car stopped and horses with riders carried on, saying, "Hi Kids! How ya doin'?"
And my favorite color combination again.
I love aspens.
Stone stairs with fallen leaves on them make me happy.
Bridal Veil Falls.
And the picnic? Oh yes I worked hard in the kitchen. We had Gandolfo's Deli sandwiches and potato chips:) yum!

Robert and I are going on a long hike in the mountains today. I hope we see some amazing color like you did!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos :). I want to reach in and eat the reds.
