Hi there and welcome to my blog! I am a mixed-media and fiber artist, living in the beautiful Salt Lake valley, and loving creating in all its forms. This blog is all about my adventures in creating a blissful life and seeking harmony in that life. I will share my experiments in the kitchen and the garden, as well as my artistic journey.
I've had either a pencil or a crochet hook
in my hand since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught me to
crochet when I was about eight, and some of my favorite treasures are
the pieces of needlework handed down to me from my mother, grandmothers,
and great-grandmothers. It gives me great joy to be able to carry on
the tradition of this handicraft.
I've also been drawing and painting since I was a child. I was lucky in that
even though we didn't have a lot of money during my childhood, I was
never without pencil, paints, and paper. I think the fairies must have brought the art supplies;) One of my earliest memories is
of my brother teaching me how to draw a star.
Whether I'm drawing, working with fibers, or in the kitchen cooking the tomatoes I grew in the garden, it all gives me joy. I hope that my ramblings here and my creations
bring you as much happiness as they do me:)

And in the background you have some really great verson of Edgar A. Poe´s Tales.
I would REALLY appreciate it if you would tell us where you bought it!
@anonymous, I purchased that fabulous volume at Ken Sander's Rare Books here in Salt Lake City. A wonderful place to find books!
