Things are looking up! Hooray for spring!
Just in case you were wondering.... we've eaten our unbleached broccoli sprouts twice now and we're both still kickin'! They were really good added as a garnish on a vegetable beef soup I made.
And the garden is growing:) The sugar snaps are coming up.
And onions.
I hadn't seen any sign of the rhubarb, and was convinced that I had accidentally dug it up last fall when I was digging potatoes in the freezing rain. But look! It's back!
And look at this! Late last summer, I planted a second crop of cool season vegetable that should have been ready in the fall. They just never took off, but now I have turnips, collard greens, and kale (not shown) that are all so happy to see the spring!
I've even been working in the indoor garden. I replanted my little moss terrarium. Aren't those just happy looking deer?
Hope you have a great weekend planned. Watch out for pranksters today!

Hooray for Spring (and GORGEOUS) photos :)

There's a lovely book called the New Terrarium, by Tovah Martin, that you might like (just came out this year.) It is filled with awesome photos and I posted at my bookstore blog about that and more.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I do love those sweet deer ... and they seem to be very happy in their habitat. Yay Spring!
