Vernal Equinox

I am at that place where I am just as sick of winter as I can be.  There are signs of imminent spring everywhere: crocus blooming, daffodils pushing up, trees budding.  The spring equinox occurred at 5:21pm last night here in Utah.  And it snowed here this weekend.  Here in Utah we have seen day after day after day of gray sky.  Being someone who struggles with depression and whose moods are way too affected by the weather and lack of sun, it's growing old.

So I am dreaming about spring and summer spent outdoors.

I am longing to serve meals alfresco.

I love images of tables set in wild areas.

Tables draped in linens and covered with beautiful dinnerware.

Indoor furniture placed outside makes me gleeful!  I want this.  Blue tablecloths make me happy too.

Wouldn't you love to be sitting in this field?  It's magical:)

I want to go live in my garden.  A simple meal, surrounded by flowers.  That's not too much to ask is it?

Check out my pininterest page to see more of my obsession with outdoor tables.  And Happy Equinox to all of you:)

  1. Happy Equinox to YOU :) My favorite azalea bushes are starting to bloom....they're my favorite, because they're always the first to bloom of any bushes I see :) Daffodils will pop this week too...osso plum are blooming, but they're always over-achievers, blooming February, and the leaves coloring and dropping in early September... sending sunny thoughts your way!!

  4. And a cheery Equinox to you, too!

I spent the day today under a yucky white sky.

Yesterday it was an awesome blue...

And most of the upcoming week looks wet.

    Rain? Snow? Both?

    Yippee.

Your choice of tables is charming.

I would come and dine with you at any of them as long as it was you doing the cooking.

  5. Gorgeous images. I love love love the birdcages in the tree.

I know what you mean we will be heading into dark days soon. I truly believe the lack of the vitamin B from the sun during those seasons does make us feel down xox
