I've been making silly Valentine decorations. I don't know what has gotten into me; you'd think I was thirteen or something.
Remember the Valentine wall I showed you the other day? This is what I came up with, using stuff I already had around the house and a couple dollar store items. Have I told you what a good sport DH is? On Saturday we were out running around and I told him I also wanted to stop by Anthropologie and the dollar store. He didn't even flinch. It's no wonder I'm such a cheese ball!
I cut out some hearts from book pages and added glitter (!) of course;)
I picked up a giant pack of clothespins for a buck. These I painted with acrylic paints and added some polka dots with the end of a chop stick dipped in paint.
And I strung it all across my mirror. I crocheted a "clothesline" and on it hung an old hankie, some crocheted items, and old Valentines. I taped paper doilies and my cut out hearts on the mirror.
And the table wanted to get in on the act, so I pulled out the giant pink doily, some hearts I made a couple years ago, and my favorite cake plate. I wish there was cake under there! A moist white cake with raspberries in the middle. Mmmmmm! Imaginary cake is less fattening.
This day sure went by fast! Hope you are having a great week. I'll see you Friday!

I love that you love all there is to love about valentine's day ( & decor.) I love your drink station (bottles of alcohol, accoutrements, and glassware.) I would love to be invited for a strong gin and tonic. I bought the lemons for that today. And most of all, I love your cake plate and big pink doily (is that how it's spelt? yeesh, I'm just not sure.)
ReplyDeleteMay love be the word most used by you this valentine's day. You are such a love-ly person Bobbi ... and I love that we are blog buddies. (Thanks for the support!)
