Yesterday morning, when I read the this week's photo prompt, "shape", at life through the lens, my mind immediately went to "the shapes created by negative space". I spent the day being aware of these negative spaces, and what kept catching my eye was, of course, ellipses because they bedevil me in my art! Setting up this photo was really interesting to me in that the photo wasn't about the object, but rather lines and shapes. This prompt really pushed me to think about the photo the way I would a painting and bear in mind the elements and principles of design. The way I set up the photo, my circles are no longer negative space, but become the positive space.
What shapes are you noticing today?
i played with glassware today, too!
