Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

I spent the day yesterday at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge with my good friend Fool-On-The-Hill.  The refuge is one of my favorite places.  It's a marshy area where the Bear River flows into the Great Salt Lake.  This area is a very important breeding and nesting stopover for a great many migratory birds.

I find such a sense of peace here, as well as refilling the inspiration well.  I'll share some pictures and few words today, some of my photos mixed in with Fool's.  His are clearly marked.  You can see more of his bird photography plus learn some interesting bird facts over at his Flickr page.
