Here are a couple pieces I'm currently working on. They go along with the quail pieces I showed you earlier. I've been on this real retro kick and decided to revisit all of those notebook margin doodles I was making back in grade school and junior high. My work now is a mix of those doodles, some 1960s and 70s iconography, and splashed with elements from my daily life today. I've also been obsessed with owls, paisley, and zinnias. The zinnias will be forthcoming.
I'm working in very mixed media fashion as is my M.O. These two though are all ink. I've discovered some wonderful acrylic inks and I'm having a fabulous time playing with them.
I'm sending off a proposal today for an open call-for-entries at a gallery here in town. Cross your fingers for me!

Weird how we're always so in tune. I've been obsessed with owls lately too. I've been toying with ideas for applique, quilting and I've been working on a few embroideries for the owls too.
